We built ClearFi because financial clarity shouldn't cost anything

Most financial tools are either paywalled, buried in ads, or hand you a number without telling you what to do with it. We built ClearFi to fix that — free tools that show you exactly what your numbers mean and what action to take next. No signup. No upsells. Just clarity.

Our mission

ClearFi's mission is to make personal finance tools accessible to everyone. Every calculator on this site is free, requires no signup, and is designed to give you a specific action — not just a number. We believe that understanding your finances shouldn't depend on your ability to pay for software or sit through a sales pitch. Good financial tools should be a public good.

What makes us different

Built for action, not just information

Every tool tells you what to do next, not just what your current situation is. You leave with a plan, not a number.

Your data stays in your browser

Calculator inputs are never sent to our servers. Everything runs locally in your browser — we literally cannot see what you enter.

Shareable results

Every result page has a unique URL you can share with your partner, advisor, or anyone who needs to see it.

Reviewed for accuracy

Our calculation methodology is reviewed by a certified financial planner to ensure the numbers you see are ones you can trust.

Our commitment to accuracy

All financial calculations on ClearFi are based on standard financial formulas used by banks, financial planners, and credit bureaus. Our debt payoff calculations use standard amortization. Our credit utilization calculations follow FICO scoring guidelines. Our budget recommendations are based on the widely accepted 50/30/20 rule.

Results are estimates based on the inputs you provide and should not be taken as professional financial advice. For major financial decisions — including debt consolidation, investment strategy, or retirement planning — we strongly recommend consulting a certified financial planner (CFP).

For a detailed breakdown of how each calculation works, see our methodology page.

All financial content on ClearFi is reviewed by James Wilson, CFP, a certified financial planner with 12 years of experience.
